Why yabang? Ang hangin kaya kanina!

Okay. Me = HUGE CORNBALL. LOL

But indeed, the wind was blowing up hard this afternoon. (I'm not sure this morning since I got up pretty late lol). It seemed like there was a typhoon hitting Manila and is on signal #2 or 3? Ah you probably get the picture.

Photobucket

You should be seeing how strong the wind was with this picture. (By that I mean, you feel scared for you life so and so..) But as you can see, it's a FAILURE LOL

I was home alone the whole afternoon. So I took advantage of that moment. I went to our veranda, brought my laptop and inhale those gusts.

I thought of working on my NSTP Portfolio because that was the best time to do it since we are asked to write reflections about our experiences. I didn't turn on our router to refrain myself from cyberstalking cyber riding that causes my procrastination. But shit I can't. Argh.

Pardon my messy hair. I don't brush my hair when I'm home lol

After checking my online accountssssssss (believe me, I got many), I got bored and uh.. took my camera and did a little photobooth-ing session with Duchess. (LOL instead of doing what I was supposed to do)

We were so bummed!

Mahangin!

Wrong timing talaga.

Okay first of all, I love rainy days. Makes every cup of coffee more enjoyable and I love having cold weather. But, NOT NOW. I'm in the peak wherein I enjoy having photoshoots so much! Argh!

This afternoon, Kim, Pam and I went to Nicole's super nice house in Alabang Hills.

They have a beautiful pool (yes, inside their house. How cool is that)

And garden/veranda outside.

But how can we maximixe the area if it was raining? Argh.

Why I hate the rain (for this circumstance)
1. Poor lighting
Low light situations makes the shutter speed slower. If you don't have a stable tripod or pasmado ka(sorry I'm too lazy to google this up). most likely your photo will be shakey. But sometimes it works well if you set your ISO to maximum but the photo comes out really grainy (Well for CMOS sensors. CCD works otherwise). I want my photos to be cleaaaaaan so I want the ISO to be at 100!

2. You can't maximize your space, especially the garden
It's raining. Everyone doesn't want their camera to get wet. Enough said.

Another reason is, the model. Pam wanted to have a promiscuous look so you really need strobe or enough natural light.

Anyway...

My first headshots!

I'm really happy on how it came out. I made a DIY softbox last weekend (thank you DIYphotography.net) and we used it for this photoshoot. Super amazin! LOL

For full view, please go HEREHEREHERE!

Tomorrow will be another photoshoot day! Part two with my barkada LOL. I hope it won't rain! PRETTY PLEASE.

Kthxbye

Aghh I've been doing numerous photoshoots lately. I think I'm having 2 photoshoots max a week. As much as I want it to happen everyday, I am sure that my mother wouldn't allow me. LOL!

I have to pass up this year's Philippine Fashion Week, apart from the reason that no one will be home tomorrow, I have shoot on wednesday and the day after. My mom might not allow me. I'm saying this not to brag about having consistent photoshoots. It just provides me confidence upon uttering it. "Uy, di ako pwede may shoot ako" or "Sayang gusto ko pa man din kaso meron akong shoot bukas e". I feel like a real photographer! Hahaha!

Anyway last wednesday, I was able to see my highschool barkada after a year. We had our yearly reunion at Camille's house. Besides from chikahan, I also initiated a photoshoot.

Photos are grainy because I had to set the ISO to 1600 because we started shooting around 5pm. There wasn't enough sunshine so the shutter speed was slow at low ISO. I didn't bring my tripod and I had no choice but to set the ISO to maximum.

After that, we majority of my barkada had alcohol and barbeque craving. We went to Central to satisfy ourselves.

Till next post!
